To get to Nippon Hotel, Taksim

1. Aboard a big Havas Airport Bus to Taksim (last stop). Havas Airport Buses depart the Atatürk Airport International Terminal every half hour. (No bus after 10:30 pm). The trip to Taksim takes between 45 and 65 minutes, depending on the traffic. After arriving at the Havas Bus Stop in Taksim, cross the street and ask for Nippon Hotel. It is within a few minutes walk.

2. Take a taxi directly to Nippon Hotel, Taksim. A taxi from the airport to Nippon Hotel costs about $18 to $22, depending on the traffic (add 50% if you travel between 24:00 midnight and 06:00 am). The trip is between 35 and 60 minutes, depending on the traffic.

How to get to the Conference Site from Atatürk International Airport

The most conventional way is to take a taxi to the Conference Site at ITU Macka Sosyal Tesisleri (pronounced Machka). The trip is between 40 to 70 minutes, depending on the traffic.

TURKISH VISA

1. Nationals of Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Sweden and Switzerland can enter Turkey with only a valid passport for a three-month stay. They need no visa.

2. Nationals of USA, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Armania, Netherlands, England, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Portugal, Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Moldova, Norway, Hong Kong, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Jordan, Yugoslavia, Georgia and Romania must buy a visa stamp at the border or airport. The fee ranges from US$10 to US$60 (for Canadians), and the period of validity from 30 to 90 days, depending upon your country of citizenship.

3. Nationals of other countries may have to apply for a visa at least a month before arriving in Turkey.

Accommodation

A limited number (12) of rooms (comparable to those of a 4 star hotel) is available at the Conference Site. For these rooms, priority will be given to those who are in real need of financial support.
